This is a mobile application which attempts to offer some alternatives for numbers beginning with 08 - some of which are expensive to call from mobile phones in the UK. Some networks charge around 35p per minute for calls to certain 08 ranges - so if you are concerned about the pricing of these numbers you might wish to seek an alternative.

The application attempts to find an alternative number to the 08 number you enter. It checks using the data network - thereby making a small internet request - and looks for a cheaper or 01/02 equivalent number.

The application works on a best-efforts basis and is not guaranteed to return any specific alternative number.
